Splunk Certified Admin responsible for deploying and managing Splunk at Cerner. Made significant contributions to the cerner_splunk open Source Chef cookbook.
Administers and manages on-prem Chef Infrastructure at Cerner; authored multiple Chef cookbooks to automate deployments and worked closely with multiple teams to introduce them to Chef and other internal CI/CD tools.
Mentoring new hire Software Engineers- getting them up to speed and conducting knowledge transfer sessions.

2014 - 2016

Worked in the Processing Infrastructure team responsible for developing, maintaining and standardizing the infrastructure for all the MapReduce (MR) jobs within the Population Health Organization in Cerner Corp.
One of the major contributors to a Chef cookbook that automates the deployment of MR jobs using Oozie job scheduler.
Developed a utility to extract MR job history from job history files in HDFS, which then gets forwarded to Splunk, helping the MR job owners to monitor and evaluate the performance and resource utilization, and fine tuning of their jobs.
Gained significant experience working in both Agile and Kanban development methodologies.

2012 - 2014

Gained the unique experience of being exposed to a startup in the private photo sharing space; saw a concept go from whiteboard to market in a short time frame and contributed to the process, working closely with the founder.
Played a critical role in the design, development and delivery of SpotMyPhotos.com v1.0.0.
Participated as a teammate in ways beyond that of a programmer; worked closely with customers to assess their needs and design solutions accordingly; collaborated with cross-functional teammates on a variety of projects; pitched in wherever needed.
